Damini Ogulu (born 2 July 1991), better known by his stage name Burna Boy, is a Nigerian Afro Fusion singer and songwriter.

Life and music career
Burna Boy was born on 2 July 1991 to Mr. and Mrs. Ogulu. He hails from Ahoada, Rivers State and spent a part of his childhood in Port Harcourt. He attended Montessori International School, and later attended Corona, Agbara for his secondary school in Lagos. He would later to move to London where he would spend significant time, be involved in a gang related issue that saw one person dead, and flout court orders not to leave the UK in favour of pursuing a music career in Nigeria. His exit from the UK earned him a 15 year bar from entering the . The bar was lifted in 2016, 5 years shy of the initial sentence.
